Once again the Washington State Fair kicks up in Puyallup.
This year’s event runs from September 1st through the 24th.
With plenty of rides, attractions, live music and exhibits, the state fair
attracts visitors of all ages from all over the state. Make sure to check out
the giant insect exhibit where the bugs tower over humans! Another favorite is
the state rodeo which is happening from September 7th through the 10th.
This year marks the 84th anniversary of the Washington State Fair
Rodeo. Tons of competitions will be held
as well, including a high school art show, agricultural and don’t forget all
the great animal judging events. Perhaps
the most fun can be had by trying some of the crazy “fair food”. Burgers, bbq,
cotton candy, and be sure and try the chicken and waffles covered in gravy and
syrup.
The music lineup is stellar. Nickelback, Daughtry, Lady
Antebellum, Steven Tyler, The Beach Boys, Hank Williams Jr. and Melissa
Etheridge are just a few of the big time performers scheduled for this year’s
fair.
