2019 Kia Forte
Completely redesigned, the 2019
Kia Forte makes evolutionary advances, retaining its role as a
smartly equipped, value-priced small sedan. The redesign brings simple
controls, an easy infotainment system, and a solid roster of standard safety
systems.
This vehicle appeals to small-car buyers looking for a good
all-around car fitted with features they may not be able to afford on competing
models, plus a strong five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. Its blend of
interior room, features, and price make the 2019 Forte the perfect choice for
value-minded shoppers.
When driving around town, the 147-hp engine pulls adequately
and coupled with the CVT (continuously variable transmission) the Forte shines
for its ability to mimic a conventional automatic transmission, complete with
effective faux shifts even when accelerating hard, such as merging onto the
highway. There is a manual override
ability that allows the driver to move up or down among eight fixed ratios with
the gear selector. That's helpful for controlling speed when descending a hill.
Plus, moving the gear selector to the side, puts the car in sport mode. The
Forte is rated at 34 mpg overall by the Environmental Protection Agency,
marking a 2-mpg increase over last year’s model.
Once inside you will find cool features like an infotainment
center that is very easy to reach and use. Below the climate controls is a
storage nook that's sized well for smartphones. This space has two power
points, an auxiliary port, and a USB port for connecting or charging devices.
All models are equipped with safety features such as forward-collision
warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist.
It also includes Driver Attention Warning, a system that monitors lane
position, steering input, and travel time to detect signs of inattention. The
top EX trim makes several more features available, including pedestrian
detection, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, lane-change assist, and
rear cross-traffic warning.

2019 Honda Fit

Preparing Your Vehicle for Colder Weather
Winter months bring colder and wetter weather which presents
challenges for you as wells as your vehicles. Many steps can be taken to assure
you and your car or truck make it through the colder season safely.

- Coolant- It is especially important to have the correct antifreeze/water mixture to prevent fluid from freezing in your radiator. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual for information on this mixture.
- Oil- In areas where freezing temps are common, it could be recommended to switch to a thinner viscosity oil
- Wiper Fluid- Often overlooked, you'll need freeze-resistant wiper fluid to keep your windshield clean and your vision clear.
Tires:
Low air pressure and worn tires are especially dangerous on
wet or slick roads, as both can reduce traction. Check your owner's manual for
the recommended PSI. If you've never checked tire pressure yourself, stop by an
auto parts store and pick up a tire gauge. Our step-by-step guide to checking
tire pressure can help you check pressure and properly inflate your tires. If
you live in an area with a lot of snowfall, consider snow tires. It's a
valuable investment that can increase your traction and improve your safety on
the road.
Battery:
It isn't only your engine that doesn't like to start in the

inspection of your battery, cables, terminals, and fluid will help you make
sure your car is ready for the winter.

2019 Subaru Crosstrek
2018 was a full redesign for the Subaru
Crosstrek. For 2019, three models are available. The 2.0i, 2.0i
Premium, and the 2.0i Limited. All 3 models are powered by a 2.0-liter Boxer
four-cylinder engine that that produces 152 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. There
is also a plug-in hybrid model available soon.
The base model gets you standard features such as all-wheel
drive, a 6.5-inch infotainment screen, remote keyless entry, 60/40-split
fold-down rear seat, and a six-speed manual transmission.
All trim levels feature Subaru’s full compliment of
assistance technologies. They include pre-collision braking and throttle
management, lane departure and sway warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive
cruise control. On the base model with the CVT, there is a new option package
with EyeSight along with a color LCD display for the instrument cluster,
overhead console shower light, and tire pressure monitoring system with
individual tire pressure display.
Premium models feature include a retractable cargo cover,
cargo tray, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, heated front seats and
exterior mirrors, and dual rear USB ports. The Premium model also receives an
updated 6.5-inch multimedia system that now has a single-disc CD player,
SiriusXM All Access Radio, SiriusXM Travel Link, and the latest Subaru Safety
and Security services. EyeSight is available on a few option packages, bringing
along the LCD color display and individual tire pressure displays.
The top of the line-up is the Limited model. It comes with
X-Mode with Hill Descent Control, an 8-inch infotainment system that adds voice
activated controls, Bluetooth hands-free text messaging, 18-inch alloy wheels
in black with machine finish, keyless access, push-button start, and six-way
power driver seat. Along with EyeSight, the model now comes standard with
reverse automatic braking and high beam assist, as well as steering responsive
headlights and blind spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross
traffic alert.

2019 VW Jetta
For more than 40 years the Volkswagen Jetta has been the
choice for a sophisticated and fun to drive sedan. The 2019
Jetta is no exception. This seventh generation Jetta has more room,

The Jetta is now based on Volkswagen’s current scalable

2019 Mazda CX9
With four
trim levels to choose from, the 2019 Mazda CX-9 is an SUV that has something

2019 Ford F-250 Pick-up Truck
As it has
been for many years, the Ford F Series truck remains the top selling pick-up
truck in the country. After a complete re-design in 2017, Ford has added many
new options to keep the series fresh for 2019. This series is a staff favorite
at Consumer Reports for good reason.
With an all-aluminum alloy body and a frame consisting of
mostly steel, the 2019 F-250 remains strong and lighter weight than previous
years. The F-250 boasts four best in
class ratings including: GCWR (gross combination weight rating), best in class
payload, best in class conventional towing, and best in class gooseneck towing.
Two engine packages are available in the 2019 version of the F-250.
